Bat Company Now Offering Softball Pitching Instruction

The Bat Company is proud to welcome Emily Perlich to our training staff to offer softball pitching instruction.

Emily graduated from Regis Catholic High School in 2011 and was a member of the RCHS varsity softball team all 4 years. She pitched the 2A State Championship game as a senior, earned First Team All-Conference honors 2009-2011, was named 2A Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2010 & 2011 and 2A All-State Pitcher of the Year in 2011.

Softball PitchingAs a freshman at North Idaho College Emily earned Honorable Mention as a freshman in 2012. She earned First Team All-Region honors in 2013  and was ranked as the #4 pitcher in the nation for NJCAA strikeouts in a single season with 217Ks.

After transfering to Cal State East Bay she was named California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Pitcher of the Week 4 times in two seasons. She tossed a no-hitter vs. Cal St. Dominguez Hills – the Program’s first no-hitter since 1998. Emily led the league with 7.32 strikeouts/game in CCAA play, was ranked 2nd in the CCAA for strikeouts and 3rd for complete games, made 33 appearances with 30 starts in the circle as the team’s pitching ace. Emily finished her junior season with 138 strikeouts in 177.2 innings pitched — Strikeout mark is second highest single season total in program history at the end of the 2014 season. She held opponents to a .211 batting average, was named Team Most Valuable Player and Two-time Cal State East Bay Female Athlete of the Week. After tearing her labrum at the end of her junior year, she was out almost her entire senior season before making her biggest appearance of the year on Senior Weekend. Tossing 17 innings in less than 24 hours — 13Ks, 2 earned runs.

Emily Perlich Softball Pitching InstructionFollowing college, Emily began her coaching career as Assistant Head Pitching Coach at Corban University. She helped improve Corban’s pitching stats and reduce team walks by -2 per inning. Emily has worked along side college coaches from all divisions and has been working with pitchers since early in her college career.
